Toklytics TikTok Analytics for Claude and ChatGPT

Connect your AI assistant to Toklytics and ask it about TikTok creators, videos, sounds and hashtags. Answers come from Toklytics data and carry the metric name, its definition, an attribution line and a link to the matching toklytics.app page. The connector is read-only and uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Before you start

Connect Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Toklytics and paste https://mcp.toklytics.app/mcp as the URL. Leave any client ID and secret fields empty; Claude registers itself automatically.
  3. Click Connect. A Toklytics window opens.
  4. Sign in with Google (first time only), then click Allow on the consent screen.
  5. Back in Claude, make sure the Toklytics connector is turned on for your chat, then ask a TikTok question.

Connect ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT's settings, add a custom connector (MCP server).
  2. Paste https://mcp.toklytics.app/mcp as the server URL and choose OAuth as the authentication method.
  3. Sign in to Toklytics and click Allow.
  4. Enable the connector in a chat and ask a TikTok question.

Menu names differ between assistant versions; look for “connectors”, “MCP” or “custom connector”.

Other MCP clients

Any client that supports the MCP authorization spec can connect. Point it at the endpoint; a request without a token returns 401 with a WWW-Authenticate header that leads to everything below.

Tools

All tools are read-only and only look up data Toklytics already holds.

ToolQuestion it answers
search_tiktok_creatorsFinds TikTok creators or influencers by name, handle or keyword.
get_tiktok_creatorReturns a TikTok creator's stats: how often they post, how much of their content is sponsored, and whether their videos get saved and shared.
get_tiktok_video_terminalIs this TikTok video still growing? Returns its play curve, save and share rates, and whether its reach was paid or organic.
get_sound_momentumIs this TikTok sound or song blowing up or already over?
get_hashtag_lifecycleHow long do TikTok trends last? Returns a TikTok hashtag's rise, peak and half-life.

Category rankings (Top lists, rank history, brand-fit search) are coming with Toklytics Rank.

Metrics

Sound Momentum — Is this song blowing up or over?
Distinct creators posting with the sound in the last 7 days vs the prior 7 days, weighted by saves per play. Requires activity on at least 3 of the last 7 days and at least 0.7 creators per video.
Hashtag Half-Life — How long does a trend last?
Whole days from a hashtag's daily-volume peak to the first day its volume is at or below half of the peak. Multiple peaks (event, trough, event) are detected and counted.
Save Ratio — Is this good or just loud?
Saves ÷ plays, with a percentile against videos of the same duration band (<15, 15–30, 30–60, 60–180, 180+ s) published in the trailing 14 days.
Spread Score — Do people pass this on?
(Shares + reposts) ÷ plays, benchmarked the same way as Save Ratio.
Cadence — Does this creator show up?
Posts per week, active days and longest gap over the trailing 30 days of the creator's own catalog (requires a profile sync).
Ad Load — How commercial is this?
Share of videos that are paid ads (isAd), with commerce music, TikTok Shop seller, commerce account and bio-link signals. For hashtags: the share of videos in the tag that are paid.

Figures cover what the Toklytics sensor network has seen, not all of TikTok. The most recent 2–3 days undercount. Follower counts are unknown for most creators and are reported as unknown, never 0.

Limits

Tool calls count toward a monthly limit; a free account includes 100 calls a month. When you reach it, the tool tells your assistant that the limit is reached and when it resets. Limits reset on the first of each month (UTC).

Troubleshooting

The sign-in window keeps returning to the login page
Allow cookies for toklytics.app and finish signing in with Google in the same window, then click Allow.
“That search was too broad” or “try a more specific tag”
The question would scan too much data to answer quickly. Use an exact @handle, a longer name, or a topic-specific hashtag.
“Toklytics hasn’t tracked … yet”
Toklytics only knows creators, videos and sounds its sensor network has seen. Try search_tiktok_creators with part of the name.
#fyp, #viral and similar tags are refused
They appear on almost every video regardless of topic, so they have no lifecycle of their own. Ask about a topic tag.
The assistant says it is not authorized
Access tokens last an hour and refresh automatically. If refreshing fails (for example after 30 days without use), disconnect and connect again.

Disconnect

Remove or turn off the Toklytics connector in your assistant's settings. To revoke every connection immediately, email support@toklytics.app.

Privacy

The connector cannot read or change your TikTok account. We receive the tool your assistant calls and its inputs, never your conversation. We keep a record of each call (tool, time, result count) but not its inputs. Tokens are stored only as hashes. Full details are in the privacy policy, section 9.
