Yum! Homemade tortillas that I got a small batch recipe from asking Chat GPT. It didn’t tell me know long to knead for so I’ll tell you the recipe I would make this again with to have the perfect tortillas. These are a solid 8/10. With some minor tweaks it could be a 10/10. Here’s the recipe. 200 grams AP flour, 5 grams salt, 4 grams baking powder, 23 grams butter, (or some sort of lard)97 grams hot water. Add the flour and salt, and baking powder stir this together then add in the lard and mix to a crumble consistency then add in the water and knead this together for 10 minutes. After kneading cover in a bowl for 30 minutes roll out the dough to balls 60 grams give or take a few grams with yield about 5 tortillas. This is a small batch. Let those rolled balls rest in a covered dish this helps the dough not dry out. Let rest another 30 minutes. Roll out the dough balls into round large shapes on a very lightly floured surface. Heat up a cast iron or skillet prior to cooking the tortillas until lightly golden brown spots appear on each side about a minute or so on each side. #flourtortillas #smallbatchcooking #tortilla #homecooking
