He went to Poland to trace his family history… and accidentally found his Jewish soul. Mark was a local pastor who discovered he was Jewish. While in Poland, he randomly met a young Chabad rabbi who asked him one simple question: “Have you ever put on tefillin?” That rabbi was later murdered. But in that moment, he changed Mark’s life forever. That first pair of tefillin started a journey back to his Jewish roots. Today, Mark is an active member of our synagogue.
