The team at @Propel  — the company behind the app that helps over five million SNAP users manage their benefits — saw what was happening and jumped into action. They’ve partnered with GiveDirectly to create an emergency fund and started it off with a million dollars of their own. Eligible households who missed their November SNAP payment will get $50 in emergency support, sent straight through the Propel app on the day they normally receive their SNAP Deposit.
