Who relates to the joy 😂 We refrain from eating bread on Passover not just to remember our ancestors’ haste in leaving Egypt, but to reflect on a deeper journey—from spiritual limitation to personal freedom. The Lubavitcher Rebbe taught that chametz, leavened bread, symbolizes ego and self-inflation, while matzah, flat and simple, represents humility and openness to something higher. By removing chametz from our homes and from ourselves, we clear space for something more profound: a connection to the Divine, unclouded by pride or distraction. Passover is not only about remembering the past—it’s about experiencing liberation in the present. As we eat matzah, we’re reminded that true freedom begins with humility and the courage to leave behind what holds us back.
